Not only does freediving strip scuba divers from of their restraining BCDs, heavy tanks, and dangling hoses, some highly experienced and competitive freedivers will tell you that the purest form of freediving is even without fins. Whether you choose to wear fins or not, the freedom you feel submerged underwater with only a mask on your face is what brings breath-hold divers back again and again. Hello Nikolas, sounds great - if you want, you can already start with theory at home. Just use our MySSI app or our website to register for any course, you can do the practical part in the water later. You can also do some breathing and meditation exercises at home as preparation. Thanks and stay healthy!

I would love to do a freediving course with my father, unfortunately lockdown prevents us from going out and we haven't signed up with any new dive center! Would still love to do this though.
